How to Travel from Peru to Morocco: Guide for Travelers

Passport, flights from Lima, budget and a route designed for those who cross half the world: everything for a trip from Peru to Morocco without surprises.

If you already know the Andes and the coastal desert, Morocco will fascinate you: adobe kasbahs, valleys with palm groves, snow-capped mountains and immense dunes, all in a single country. And from Lima the trip is simpler than it seems.

Entry requirements for Peruvians

Peruvians with an ordinary passport can enter Morocco without a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days. Carry with you:

  • A valid passport (six months of validity and blank pages are advisable).
  • A ticket out or onward travel.
  • A reservation or the address of your accommodation for the first nights.
  • Travel insurance with international medical assistance, which is not mandatory but is advisable.

Because Peru has areas at risk of yellow fever, check with the Moroccan consulate whether you will be asked for any health certificate on the date of your trip, and keep your vaccinations up to date. For the layover in Spain or another Schengen country, Peruvians do not need a visa for short stays; check whether the ETIAS system (start expected at the end of 2026) is already required before buying.

Practical tips from Peru

  • Time difference: Morocco is six hours ahead of Peru (five during Ramadan).
  • Altitude and climate: if you are used to altitude, the High Atlas will not be a problem; in the desert, the contrast between day and night is marked.
