4 Days Desert Trip From Fes to Merzouga

Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast we head south, crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, known as “the Moroccan Switzerland” for its European architecture and spotless streets. We then continue to the Azrou cedar forest, where we can see and feed Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

We continue on through the impressive Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic views. We stop in Erfoud, known for its fossils and black marble. In the afternoon we reach Merzouga, the gateway to the desert. Dinner and overnight at a hotel near the dunes. (Dinner included)

Exploring the Merzouga desert and nomad life

Breakfast and a full day given over to discovering the extraordinary Sahara. We start with a 4×4 route through the Erg Chebbi dunes, taking in different landscapes and the villages around them. We meet Berber nomad families, who invite us for tea and explain their traditional way of life.

We continue to Khamlia, a small village known for its Gnawa music, where we enjoy a unique performance. We also visit a hidden oasis and a fossil mine.

In the afternoon comes the star experience of the desert: a camel ride to enjoy the sunset over the dunes on the way to the camp. (If you prefer not to ride a camel, you can reach the camp by 4×4.) Night at the desert camp, with dinner and traditional music around the fire. (Dinner included)

Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Bouaajoul

Después del desayuno en Merzouga, comenzaremos el día visitando Rissani, antigua capital de los alauitas y famosa por su animado zoco tradicional. Podrás pasear entre puestos de especias, frutas, artesanía y conocer la historia de esta importante ciudad comercial.

Continuaremos hacia el impresionante Valle del Ziz, famoso por sus interminables palmerales y sus espectaculares vistas. Realizaremos paradas en los miradores para disfrutar del paisaje y tomar fotografías.

Seguiremos ruta hacia Bouaajoul, una pequeña localidad en el corazón del Medio Atlas, donde pasaremos la noche. Cena y alojamiento. (Cena incluida)

Bouaajoul – Azrou Cedar Forest – Ifrane – Fez

Desayuno y salida hacia el bosque de cedros de Azrou, uno de los bosques más bellos de Marruecos. Aquí podremos ver y alimentar a los monos de Berbería en su hábitat natural, rodeados de imponentes cedros centenarios.

Continuaremos hacia Ifrane, conocida como “la Suiza marroquí” por su arquitectura europea, sus tejados de pizarra y sus calles limpias y floridas. Haremos una parada para pasear y disfrutar de este pintoresco lugar.

Por la tarde, llegada a Fez y traslado a tu hotel o riad. Fin de nuestros servicios.
