Day-by-day itinerary
Day1
Casablanca → Rabat → Chefchaouen
Drive to Rabat to see the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower. Head north through farmland and the first hills of the Rif to Chefchaouen, arriving in time for a sunset walk through the blue medina.

Day2
Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
Visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Meknes, the imperial city of Moulay Ismail, with its monumental Bab Mansour gate. Arrive in Fes in the afternoon.

Fes
Guided visit of Fes el Bali, the largest medieval medina in the world: the Al Quaraouiyine University, the Bou Inania Madrasa and the Chouara tanneries. Free afternoon to explore the souks.

Day4
Fes → Ifrane → Midelt → Merzouga
Cross the Middle Atlas via Ifrane and its cedar forests, with stops in Midelt and the palm groves of the Ziz Valley. At sunset, a camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi and a night at a desert camp.

Merzouga Desert Experience
Sunrise over the dunes. A 4x4 excursion around Erg Chebbi: visit a nomad family, the village of Khamlia and its Gnawa music, and the surrounding oases.

Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley
Visit the market of Rissani, birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty. Continue to the Todra Gorge, with rock walls up to 300 metres high, and arrive in the Dades Valley.

Day7
Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Aït Ben Haddou → Marrakech
Through the Valley of Roses and Ouarzazate to the kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cross the High Atlas over the Tizi n’Tichka pass and arrive in Marrakech, where the trip ends.
