Day-by-day itinerary

Day1

Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – night at Erg Chebbi

Your adventure begins as you leave Errachidia. The first natural wonder is the Ziz Valley, an impressive palm grove stretching along the road. The mountain views and the lush vegetation are spectacular.

You continue to the town of Erfoud, famous for its fossils and its marble industry. Here you can visit craft workshops where these fossils are turned into beautiful decorative pieces.

In the afternoon you reach the imposing dunes of Erg Chebbi. As evening falls you take a short camel ride to the desert camp.

Enjoy a magical sunset from the top of a dune. The night includes a traditional dinner and Berber music under a blanket of stars.

Day2

Exploring the Desert – Khamlia – visiting nomads

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast at the camp you ride the camels back to the village of Merzouga.

The first stop is the picturesque village of Khamlia, home to the Gnawa community. You enjoy an intimate concert of their spiritual music, full of rhythm and energy.

Then you head into the desert in a 4×4 to visit a family of Berber nomads. In their traditional tent they offer you mint tea and share their simple, hospitable way of life.

You return to your accommodation in Merzouga for the rest of the afternoon. You can relax or take a walk on the dunes before dinner.

Day3

Merzouga - Rissani - Erfoud - Errachidia

After breakfast you leave Merzouga behind and head for the historic town of Rissani. Explore its lively souk, full of life and authenticity, and don't miss the Mahfia, traditional bread baked on stones. The Mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif is well worth a visit.

From Rissani you take the road again through Erfoud, where you can make a last fossil purchase or simply enjoy the landscape.

The return journey to Errachidia takes you once more through the beautiful Ziz Valley, offering a different perspective in the morning light.

You arrive in Errachidia in the afternoon, bringing your unforgettable Moroccan desert adventure to a close.
