Instead of driving straight from Agadir to Marrakech on the motorway, this tour takes a grand detour through the south: the Anti-Atlas, Aït Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, the Todra and a night in the Merzouga dunes, and the return via Alnif and the Draa Valley to Marrakech.
A private tour with a driver, departing from Agadir on any day, with pick-up at your hotel or the airport.

Itinerary
Day-by-day itinerary
Day1
Agadir → Taroudant → Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate
Pick-up at your hotel in Agadir or the airport and drive inland via Taroudant, the walled town of the Souss valley. Cross the Anti-Atlas through Taliouine, the land of saffron, and visit the kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before reaching Ouarzazate.
Accommodation: Ouarzazate
Day2
Ouarzazate → Valley of Roses → Todra Gorge → Merzouga
Drive through the Skoura palm grove and the Valley of Roses to the Todra Gorge for a walk between its rock walls. In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga for a sunset camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi and a night at a desert camp.
Sunrise over the dunes and a camel ride back to the meeting point. The return takes a different road: Rissani, the mining village of Alnif, famous for its fossils, and the palm groves of the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate. Cross the High Atlas and arrive in Marrakech in the evening, where the trip ends.
Please note: this is a suggested itinerary. As a private trip, we adapt the pace, the nights in each place and the accommodation level to your dates and preferences.
It starts in Agadir, at your hotel or the airport, and ends at your hotel or riad in Marrakech.
Yes, with long driving days: the night in Ouarzazate splits the drive to the desert. If you have more time, the 4- or 5-day tour lets you travel at a gentler pace.
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). In summer the desert is very hot, and in winter nights are cold in the Atlas and the Sahara.
Yes. It is a private tour: we can lengthen or shorten stages, change the accommodation or add nights to suit your dates.

What our travellers say
The best experience from start to finish!
We travelled as a family with Marruecos Tours from 28 July to 2 August and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. Communication with Mohammed was excellent and our guide Said was attentive, friendly and fun throughout. He took us to places only locals know. Thoroughly recommended.

The Perfect Family Trip to Morocco
We recently returned from an incredible 12-day tour from Casablanca with our two children, and booking with Agencia Marruecos Tours was the best decision we made. Our driver and guide, Hassan, didn't just drive us from place to place — he became part of our family's story. The overnight desert camp in Merzouga was pure magic for all of us.

From Fes to Marrakech
The three-day route from Fes to Marrakech made our trip to Morocco unforgettable. Our guide Said, charming and an excellent driver, brought deep knowledge of Amazigh culture and customs. The route is well organised, with stops at beautiful and interesting places.

An amazing experience
I finally fulfilled a lifelong ambition of mine to go to Morocco. It was without a doubt one of the most memorable experiences of my life! The nine days spent travelling were filled with such breathtaking scenery. My favourite part was spending the night in a tent in the Sahara Desert and riding camels around the desert.

Highly recommended
An excellent personalised experience, helped along by Idir’s passion for his country and its customs — and, despite his youth, his knowledge of every corner of Morocco.
